You often hear people say Springfield is a great place to raise a family and that is so true because of the residents and businesses who not only invest in neighborhoods but have become a part of what makes this community a home. The City of Springfield Public Works works with neighborhood associations, organizations & companies to provide services to residents to improve the vitality of life in Springfield. All residents receive this brochure that has clear & simple descriptions of Springfield's waste & recycling programs.

FIRST EVENT OF 2019 - FEBRUARY 21ST, 2019 AT DART CONTAINER

A tour of Dart Container's facility in North Aurora starts at 2pm where we will see the manufacturing and recycling of polystyrene.

And then meet at Paulie's Pub & Grille in Aurora at 4pm for food, drinks and networking.

If you were a member for 2018, that membership expired 12/31/2018. Please re-join for 2019 to keep your information on our website. The 2019 Membership Drive is off to a great start! But we have ambitious goals this year so please join so that the good work can continue to educate and inspire all of Illinois to Reduce, ReUse and Recycle.

The IRA Board of Directors currently has two (2) seats open. The time needed to devote to this worthwhile association is about 1-2 hours a week plus a once-a-month 2-3hr board meeting, call-in option available. Please consider becoming a board member.
