The New Jersey Devils will host their second annual Mental Health Awareness and #HockeyTalks Night on Thursday, February 20th. The Devils will dedicate the game night to bring awareness to mental health, provide information from experts and alleviate some of the misconceptions and stigma associated with mental illness. Several mental health organizations will have tables on the concourse to interact with fans and spread awareness.

Each ticket purchased through this special offer includes:

6:00 - 6:30 PM: Panel discussion including the Director of Player & Team Development for the New Jersey Devils, Dr. Aimee Kimball

NAMI FAMILY-TO-FAMILY COURSE
STARTS WED. MAR. 18TH IN VERNON AREA
"Family-to-Family," a free, 8-session family education course provided by the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), will be offered on Wednesday evenings, 6:30-9:00 p.m., from March 18 to May 6 in the Vernon area (location to be announced). The course is provided to support and educate family members and close friends of individuals with mental illness.   Participants will learn effective communication skills, problem-solving 
techniques, and how to manage their own stress and face crises as they arise.

NAMI PARTNERS WITH GOOD HOUSEKEEPING
NAMI has partnered with Good Housekeeping magazine for a survey focused on people’s experiences with various mental health conditions. 

The survey is anonymous and results will be published in the May 2020 issue of the magazine, as well as on GoodHousekeeping.com just prior to the publication date, in mid-April. The issue will also feature NAMI personal stories and information on resources and supports. 

We encourage you to take the short  10-question survey . The survey closes at the end of February.

The NATIONAL EDUCATION ALLIANCE FOR BORDERLINE PERSONALITY DISORDER invites relatives, caregivers, and family members of individuals with Borderline Personality Disorder to attend a FREE panel presentation for families of individuals with this mental health condition. Sponsored by IFSS, Intensive Family Support Services of Sussex County, a program of the Mental Health Association of Essex and Morris.

The panel presentation is designed to give the family information about the disorder and hope for the recovery of their loved one.
