On June 8, 2021, FEC’s Mega-Delta programme was listed as one of the first round of the 65 programmes endorsed under the UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development.

2021年6月8日， “大河三角洲计划”被正式列入联合国海洋科学促进可持续发展十年首批入选的65个行动方案之一，且是28个“计划”层级的项目之一。
“大河三角洲计划”的全称是“大河三角洲：为可持续问题寻求解决方案”。该计划依托“未来地球海岸(Future Earth Coasts, FEC)”国际项目成立了“大河三角洲工作组”，旨在针对不同区域、不同类型、不同社会经济发展阶段的三角洲，根据其在全球变化背景下面临的挑战类型和严峻程度，通过多学科、多部门的协作，更好地保护大河三角洲地区的人类生存环境，重构三角洲地区的发展蓝图。目前该计划由河口海岸学国家重点实验室牵头，带领11个国家的科学家在15个大河三角洲开展联合研究。随着该计划的实施，未来还将有更多的三角洲被纳入，并吸引更多的科研、管理、企业等部门的加入。
On June 8, 2021, Mega-Delta programme was listed as one of the first round of the 65 programmes endorsed under the UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development.
The Mega-Delta programme is based on the “Mega-Delta Workgroup” of Future Earth Coasts. It aims to provide solutions to the problems faced by different types of deltas from different regions with different levels of social-economic development. All the deltas are faced with challenges induced by climate change and human activities. Thus, combined efforts from different organizations and multi-disciplines are required to fulfill the task.

河口海岸国际研讨会（International Conference on Estuaries and Coasts，简称ICEC）是国际泥沙研究培训中心发起并主办的系列学术会议，每三年一届，自2003年起，已经在中国杭州和广州、日本仙台、越南河内、阿曼马斯喀特和法国卡昂成功举办六届，国际影响日益扩大。第七届河口海岸国际研讨会：人类驱动的河口海岸带可持续发展 将于 2021年10月18至21日 在中国上海举行。会议由国际泥沙研究培训中心主办，华东师范大学河口海岸学国家重点实验室承办。

The International Conference on Estuaries and Coasts (ICEC) is a triennial event initiated by the International Research and Training Center on Erosion and Sedimentation (IRTCES). Six such conferences have been held in Hangzhou and Guangzhou, China; Sendai, Japan; Hanoi, Vietnam; Muscat, Oman, and Caen, France in 2003, 2006, 2009, 2012, 2015 and 2018, respectively. With support from different international associations and projects, and with the participation of experts and scholars worldwide, the ICEC has attracted wide attention and has become an important and popular event. The 7th International Conference on Estuaries and Coasts: Anthropocene Coasts will be held in Shanghai during October 18-21, 2021. The conference is hosted by the International Research and Training Center on Erosion and Sedimentation, and organized by the State Key Laboratory of Estuarine and Coastal Research, East China Normal University.

未来 10 年对于健康的海洋至关重要。联合国海洋科学促进可持续发展十年（2021-2030）呼吁开展变革性研究过程，并强调协同设计的重要性。该线上活动是联合国海洋十年实验室“鼓舞人心的海洋”的一部分，将促进海洋科学转型的需求。
线上活动将从不同角度探讨该主题，并强调协同设计方法对符合 2030 年议程的重要性。此外，它将以更加协调的方式构建协同设计的知识和实践体系，以支持协作和科学对政策的采纳。参与者将学习、讨论和分享有关协作、参与式研究和更好地整合不同知识系统、学科、部门以及利益相关者的经验。
在线会议由代表德国联邦经济合作与发展部 (BMZ)的德国科学院(GIZ) MeerWissen 秘书处、莱布尼茨热带海洋研究中心 (ZMT)、未来地球海岸 ( FEC) 和西印度洋海洋科学协会 (WIOMSA)联合承办。
The upcoming 10 years are crucial for a healthy ocean. The UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development (2021-2030) is calling for a transformative research process and placing emphasis on the importance of co-design. The virtual event is part of the UN Ocean Decade Laboratory “An Inspiring and Engaging Ocean” and will promote the need for a transformation in ocean science.
The virtual event will explore the topic from different perspectives and highlight the importance of the co-design approach for solution-oriented research in line with the 2030 Agenda. Furthermore, it will build knowledge and practice of co-design in a more consistent and coordinated way to support collaboration and science-to-policy uptake. Participants will learn, discuss and share experiences about collaborative and participative research and better integration of diverse knowledge systems, disciplines, sectors and stakeholders.
The online session is jointly organised by the MeerWissen secretariat at the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), Leibniz Centre for Tropical Marine Research (ZMT), Future Earth Coasts (FEC) and the Western Indian Ocean Marine Science Association (WIOMSA).

《海洋与海岸管理》新特刊：COVID-19 背景下的海岸管理
New Special Issue of Ocean & Coastal Management on ‘Coastal Management in times of COVID-19’
|
在 COVID-19 大流行的背景下，随着对海洋和海岸问题研究的需求和出现的不断增加，《海洋与海岸管理》杂志在 COVID-19 时期发表了本特刊，其中包含海岸管理范围内的相关文章。本期特刊收到暂定摘要43篇，投稿29篇，最终录用12篇。我们提供了这十二篇文章的广泛全景，这些文章涵盖了有关 COVID-19 大流行中海岸管理的各种主题。七篇论文是讨论这段时间针对沿海地区环境和社会问题的研究，而另外五篇则探讨了使用技术来应对海滩上的 COVID-19。这 12 篇文章为改进海岸管理提供了一些见解，重点是旅游海滩、自然灾害和渔业。
With the increasing need for and emergence of research on ocean and coastal issues in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Ocean & Coastal Management journal presents this Special Issue with relevant articles within the scope of Coastal Management in times of COVID-19. This Special Issue received 43 tentative abstracts, 29 manuscripts were submitted, and finally, 12 articles were accepted. We provide a wide panorama of those twelve articles that integrate the special issue, covering a diverse range of topics regarding coastal management in the COVID-19 pandemic. Seven papers are studies that discuss environmental and social problems during this time in coastal zones, while the other five explore the use of technology to face COVID-19 on beaches. These twelve articles give some insights to improve coastal management, focused on tourist beaches, natural disasters, and fisheries.
