Jay Smith
FEI Dallas President
Our first Monthly Meeting of the year on January 9th was a great kickoff to 2023. It was very encouraging to see registrations for the PD Session and Dinner meeting both jump from our fall numbers. What a great atmosphere to have a near-full room for Michael Dominguez’s presentation on “The Need to Be Decisively Indecisive: Understanding Behavioral Changes for the Meetings & Events Industry.” Prior to the evening event, the professional development session featured Alex Clinton, Managing Director, Valuation and Analytics; Nick Roen, Director, Transaction Advisory Services; and Brendan Sullivan, Partner, Transaction Advisory Services, all from BDO USA LLP on “M&A Trends, Valuation and Tax Considerations.” It was a great presentation that might have raised additional questions from the group in this time of change.
