The Dallas Chapter of FEI feels like it’s back in full swing as attendance continues to increase at our events, and our social networking calendar gets busy. The Northwood Club ballroom felt almost pre-COVID normal at the February meeting with great attendance at both the Professional Development session and the Dinner Program. The Annual Accounting and Tax Update led by KPMG once again hit on the major technical topics facing financial executives. Mahesh Shetty will talk about his career path to CFO, COO… and now CEO. His talk will include a discussion of the goal-setting mindset he uses to keep his career moving forward.
Mahesh presented the idea of creating wealth for investors through residential real estate investments approximately four years before ILE was founded, during which time he worked to design a turnkey operations-driven investment platform. Hundreds of meetings to iron out the strategies, demographics, and risk-mitigation checkpoints ensued, and eventually resulted in ILE’s founding.
A Certified Public Accountant, Mahesh received his MBA (summa cum laude) from The University of Texas at Dallas, and earned a bachelor’s degree from Osmania University, India. He is a Certified Information Technology Professional, a Chartered Global Management Accountant, and a Fellow Chartered Accountant. Mahesh was recognized as CFO of the Year by both D CEO magazine and the Dallas Business Journal, and is a recipient of DBJ’s Minority Business Leader Award.
