The Business Case for Mental Healthcare and Mental Health in the Workplace
The onset of COVID with lockdowns and social isolation has exacerbated harmful trends in depression, anxiety, bipolar depression, suicide, substance use disorders, and absenteeism, intensifying their impact on the workforce and employers. This program will address the amazing work happening around the country and at the Meadows Mental Health Policy Institute (MMHPI) – a Texas-based nonprofit that provides nonpartisan policy and program research, development, and advice to state and local leaders towards a single goal: improving mental health care delivery in Texas. Dr. Keller will address behavioral health in the workplace, the significant role employers play in the health and wellness of their employees, and why that matters. Financial executives will come away from this talk with an understanding of the financial implications of behavioral health on the workplace and be inspired to be a part of mental health solutions in North Texas.
