Metaverse: The Next Frontier of Digital Transformation?
Presented by the University of North Texas
Digital transformation is the integration of technology into all areas of a business. For those organizations that do it correctly, it can change how they delivery value to their customers. The next frontier of digital transformation promises to be the Metaverse. In this session, we will first cover the process of digital transformation and the benefits it can provide. We will then bring some clarity to the notion of the Metaverse, and discuss how business organizations are positioning themselves to gain a foothold within the virtual realm in an attempt to gain a competitive advantage.

The Great Slowdown – Navigating the Risks of a Recession
Economic activity is slowing due to high inflation and rising interest rates. Will the Federal Reserve’s response to spiking inflation send the economy into a recession? Or are we already in a recession? Can the Fed orchestrate a soft landing, avoiding a recession? This presentation will review numerous recession indicators and the risks of potential solutions. We will discuss key economic variables along with our 2022 and 2023 forecasts. Attendees will learn what is driving the economy and financial markets, the risks that are present, and potential scenarios that may play out.

The Art of Hello® Professional Branding
Be Remembered In a Noisy World.™
As professionals we all deserve to be known for our achievements, and to be understood for our value proposition. The Art of Hello is a simple to employ technique for introducing yourself to people in a way that the listener understands the essence of your professional life. It is a powerful way to frame your professional image and for others to recognize you and act as your advocate. Once scripted and perfected, your Art of Hello introduction is a durable asset. It is useful for emerging professionals, for senior leaders, for business owners, for those seeking positions on boards, and job seekers. A well-conceived Art of Hello introduction is the old-fashioned elevator pitch polished up to a professional level with a memorable impact. It differentiates you from others. So simple to recognize when done well, and so hard to make one your own. Paula provides the background, tips and rules and a three-step method that results in you having a professional brand introduction of your own to use, that day. It’s called The Art of Hello.
