Because Alto owns and manages its own fleet of SUVs, the company was able to quickly update safety measures for drivers and passengers when COVID-19 hit, retrofit their vehicles, and create unique business lines including corporate courier services, Concierge for restaurant delivery, and The Market by Alto for curated gifts and specialties, which have sustained the company when rides dropped 90% in the spring due to the pandemic.
