Enumero Cribbage Boards

Enumero Cribbage Boards are hand crafted in small batches using beautiful, warm hardwoods and richly colored inlay. Each and every board is unique in its appearance, name, and the series (or batch) it belongs to. I humbly believe that an Enumero Cribbage Board will be played on and enjoyed for generations to come.

Enumero is derived from the latin word "enumeratus" which means "to count". Cribbage has been played for over 400 years and continues to grow in popularity.

An Enumero Cribbage board can enhance your playing experience or can be given as a memorable gift to your favorite Cribbage Player. Each Enumero Cribbage Board comes with metal pegs that are kept in a small storage compartment at one end of the board. This compartment is secured with a small threaded hardwood cap.

Cribbage and cutting boards have been recently re-photographed to show the exquisite detail. View etsy shop at https://www.etsy.com/shop/enumerocribbageboard.

Visit Enumero Cribbage Boards in the Local Artists Alley at the Lafayette Art & Wine Festival Sept 17 & 18, 2022! Enumero Cribbage Boards is excited to be selling it’s 1000th hand-made cribbage board at this year’s Art & Wine Festival. The person who happens to purchase the 1000th hand-made cribbage board, will receive a very special commemorative Tournament style cribbage board in addition to their cribbage board purchase plus a few other extra goodies. In addition to offering all kinds of unique and beautiful cribbage boards for sale, there will also be Knick-Knack boxes (jewelry boxes), Mancala Boards, Chess Boards, Dice Boards and a limited supply of Bamboo Cutting Boards for sale. Come early if you are looking for a new cutting board!

Metz Gallery

I’m a mixed media collage graffiti-style pop/street artist, born and raised in the gritty, industrial city of Bradford, Yorkshire, in the North of England; living there for most of my childhood until moving to London in my late teens. The effects of growing up in these urban environments have obviously left an indelible mark on me. I’m very passionate about photography, music and entertainment, vintage movies and icons within pop culture and politics. My approach to art is to capture, memorialize and transform fleeting fragments of the world around us. I’ve taken these somewhat disparate elements and selectively layered pieces together, blending them into transform into a patchwork. I add colored acrylics and spray paint that adds depth and a multi-dimensional aspect to my work.

As part of my process, I try to first create and then develop common linkages and themes. I develop these unique fragments into a multi-layered, mixed media collage that that connects to create a common thread and overall narrative. Ultimately, I like my art to be dramatic, vibrant, colorful and provocative, evoking a sense of energy and passion.

I currently reside in Moraga CA. My website is www.metzgallery.com and Instagram @jaweedmetz and email metz@metzgallery.com.

Wood Whisperer

I am a 65 year on and off again resident of Lafayette and graduate of Acalanes and Cal Berkeley. I spent 12 years operating a produce store and juice bar in Lafayette and Walnut Creek. After an opportunity for reflection I decided to pursue working with wood as that has been my passion since I was 10 and built 20 or so skateboards. My brother and I began doing wood display cases for Sennelier art products but eventually settled on doing hardwood floors. This financed eventually a complete woodshop and over time a large collection of rare and highly figured wood with the eventual goal of working on furniture featuring this wood. Finally I retired this year and I am building beautiful furniture as art.

Cal Shakes

Welcome to Harlem of the West, San Francisco’s Fillmore District in 1969. There’s a man on the moon and a storm in the kingdom. Lear has divided his kingdom and retired but nature, his courtiers, and daughters, abhor a vacuum. In foul weather and wild cracked temper, he rages. Lear reckons with uncomfortable legacies, with the consequences of our actions, and with the vulnerability and ultimate resilience of the human heart to find its way back again. If you come for the king, you best not miss.

Lear is here at the Bruns Memorial Amphitheater. Now through October 2nd! https://calshakes.org

Written by Madison Wetzell
Directed by Lisa Anne Morrison
October 7th, 8th, 14th & 15th *Pay-What-You-Can Oct. 15th

Something's very wrong with Amy's body. Her detached, neurotic mind, submits this chaotic, screaming body to scrutiny of experts—doctors, therapists, yoga teachers—and ultimately explores what it might mean to be a body, and not just a mind that, regrettably, also has a body. An exploration of a chronic illness and the absurdity of being embodied.

Diablo Symphony Orchestra

The Diablo Symphony Orchestra opens its Jubilation Season celebrating 60 years of musical excellence in the community on October 23, 2022, with Gustav Mahler’s Symphony No. 1 and Aaron Copland’s Canticle of Freedom featuring the San Ramon Valley Chorale. Nicholas Weathers, winner of the DSO’s 2021-2022 Yen Liang Young Artist Competition, also performs the adagio movement of W. A. Mozart’s Clarinet Concerto. Weathers is currently pursuing a Bachelors in Music in clarinet performance at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. The concert will begin at 2:00 p.m. at the Lesher Center for the Arts in Walnut Creek.

Connections to folk music and folk traditions form a thread throughout the five-concert season, with programs ranging from the folk-song-inspired Mahler symphony to a new family chamber opera based on the stories of Br’er Rabbit. And a new work celebrating the DSO’s 60th anniversary by local composer Jean Ahn will be featured in the season’s final concert in May. The DSO will be joined by the Blackhawk Chorus on Saturday, December 10, for an uplifting and diverse program of holiday favorites that also includes Saratsky’s concerto featuring violinist Anna Presler and cellist Leighton Fong. Orinda native Juliana Athayde, concertmaster of the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra since 2005, returns on Sunday, February 26, 2023, to join the DSO in Felix Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto. The daughter of well-known Stanley Middle School music director and teacher Bob Athayde, Ms. Athayde performed with the DSO in 2004, one year before becoming concertmaster of the Rochester Philharmonic at age twenty-four. She is also an Associate Professor of Violin at the Eastman School of Music. The concert also features Florence Price's Dances in the Canebrakes and Pyotry Illyich Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 4. The DSO’s annual family concert on Sunday, April 2, 2023, a coproduction with Walnut Creek’s Festival Opera, features a new mini-opera “Tales from the Briar Patch” by Guggenheim Fellow Nkeiru Okoye, known for her folk-opera Harriet Tubman: When I Crossed that Line to Freedom and orchestral work “Voices Shouting Out,” a musical response to 9/11. The winner of the DSO’s 2022-23 Yen Liang Young Artists Competition for young area pianists will also join the orchestra in George Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue. The season’s fifth concert, “Sounds of the Americas,” features Brian Rice and the Berkely Choro Ensemble in music from Brazil, including a concerto for pandeiro, the Brazilian tambourine. will be followed by a screening of Charlie Chaplin’s "The Adventurer" accompanied by Darius Milhaud’s lighthearted Le Boeuf sur le Toit (literally "the ox on the roof"). The DSO looks forward to seeing you at any one or all of the orchestra’s performances or events. Reserve now for the best seats in the house!
