Abortion Reversal Pill

You've probably heard that New York Attorney General Letitia James has sued Heartbeat International and 11 pregnancy centers for allegedly making fraudulent claims about abortion pill reversal treatments.

What is the truth? According to an article from Charlotte Lozier Institute:

Natural progesterone has been safely and effectively used to support female reproductive health since the 1950s.
Abortion pill reversal uses natural progesterone to counter the abortion drug, mifepristone, and sustain a pregnancy.
The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) erroneously claimed that abortion pill reversal has no scientific support, but a 2018 study found that around 66% of participants who used the most effective regimens to reverse a drug-induced abortion had continuing pregnancies.

Great news! Walking with Moms in Need ministry is being developed at St. Mark's in Greece. Fr. Jim Hewes, a long-time pro-life advocate, met with Kathy McQueen (FFNVC), Kathy Boyle and Jane Way to learn how the ministry was implemented at Peace of Christ Parish. Under Father's guidance and his team, it is now well underway at St. Mark's.

Planned Parenthood Development in Brighton

FFNVC is joining with other pro-life groups in opposing Planned Parenthood in its attempt, once again, to establish a clinic in Brighton, NY. FFNVC sent the following letter to over 60 offices in two complexes of medical offices on or around the site where PP hopes to build.

Medical Assistance in Dying

More good news! Despite support from the Medical Society of the State of New York, the NYS Bar Association, the NYS Academy of Family Physicians and the NYS Council of Churches the Medical Aid in Dying Bill fell short of the needed votes in the Senate.

This is good news for Alex Thompson, Director of Advocacy with the New York Association on Independent Living, who recently said:

"The biggest concern is, is this really a choice? We've seen in Canada and other places where this is legalized, where instead of people being offered support to be in the community and still have a level of autonomy, they are offered assisted suicide."
