Dear FFRW Members & Friends,
This Newsletter will highlight the FFRW 36th Biennial Convention!
There were over 160 members in attendance, breaking all records for FFRW Conferences/Conventions. The Speakers were great. We started on Friday afternoon with Training from the Leadership Institute - "Activism in the Digital Age." This was followed by a very informative presentation by Member Dianne Olsen - "How to Run a Successful Phonebank." Dianne's expertise and success in RFW of the Villages on Phone banking provided a resource to all clubs small and large.
Friday Evening we enjoyed Cocktails and Conversation with Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody. She thanked us for getting her reelected and gave us a great update on what's on the horizon with the Attorney General's Office.
Saturday was filled with Speakers, a total review of the FFRW Bylaws; NFRW recognition and FFRW reporting updates. Our luncheon Keynote Speaker Matt Staver-Liberty Counsel did not disappoint giving us an incredible update on the WHO and what they have planned under this Biden Administration. We know we have to stop this! Michael Maibach-Save Our States added much humor to his Electoral College talk and why we need the Electoral College as a few states should not elect the President . Kathleen King-RNC State Committeewoman really spelled out what is at stake and what the FFRW and Clubs need to do to win in 2024!
Our Dinner Keynote Speaker Congresswoman Laurel Lee was very informative about what is happening in DC or not happening. There have been successes in spite of the Biden Administration. Congresswoman Laurel Lee received the FFRW 2023 Stateswoman Award.
Congressman Cory Mills received the FFRW 2023 Freedom Award for all is work in both Afghanistan and now in Israel bringing Americans back to the US and not waiting for the inept State Department. We salute both of these winners of the FFRW 2023 Awards.
Sunday was the culmination of campaigning as candidates both on the slate and running from the floor were elected by those credentialed who exercised their right to vote. Thank you to all the candidates that ran for the FFRW 2024-25 Executive Committee, Member at Large, and District Representative positions.
Our newly elected FFRW 2024-25 Executive Committee
