Our speaker today was Samantha Lloyd from FGCU, coordinator of this pantry. The program supports FGCU students experiencing food insecurity.  FGCU Students genuinely in need are eligible for food assistance once a week. Food is set up as a choice market so students have choices like shopping in a traditional grocery store. Currently  enrolled students with valid FGCU student ID required . At peak times of the semester approximately 100 students come through the pantry weekly otherwise the weekly average is about 60. One way to help is by donating non-perishables food items.
