When we started FGMC we knew that it was essential that to be the very best law firm we absolutely had to surround ourselves with the finest attorneys and staff.  I am so proud of the people we have in our Firm.   I have the highest level of respect for every person in this Firm who comes to work every day ready, willing and able to fight for our clients.  It's not just the lawyers that make FGMC excellent, but the outstanding support staff.  From accounting to paralegals, from reception to IT, our support staff gives their all to make this place run effectively which helps us be successful.  Here at FGMC we have had a series of phenomenal results for our clients and these were only achieved due to the hard work we apply to our clients' matters day in and day out. We have been burning the midnight oil this past quarter and the following are just a few of our successes that have changed our clients' lives:

 

Gary Lozow, Lindsay Richardson and paralegals Donna Brummett and Hannah Moran helped achieve a 17 count not-guilty jury verdict in March in Jefferson County.  They literally saved our client's life who was brutally and unfairly accused of criminal conduct. Due to their hard work he has finally achieved vindication.  We wish our client only the best moving forward with his life.  Our criminal defense group sets the Gold Standard for dedication and excellence.

 

Another criminal group success was achieved by David Canter and our newest attorney  Mikhail Laskin.  David and Mikhail secured a 3 count not-guilty jury verdict in March in Arapahoe County.  Suffice to say that these types of cases are almost impossible to win.  They received not guilty verdicts in one of the shortest deliberation times I have ever seen.  Amazing work!

 

Our appellate and real estate group led by David Foster, Chip Schoneberger and Katie Rousch achieved a Colorado Court of Appeals Order in early April on behalf of one of the Firm's home-builder clients.  This precedent setting Order solidifies a Denver District court order and a Denver City Council decision allowing for a smart and neighborhood friendly development in Denver.  Read David's analysis and the Order here.  Phenomenal legal research, writing, analysis and oral argument made this  long-fought battle a success realized!

 

And finally I am proud to announce that earlier this month  Laura Martinez and I, along with our dedicated paralegal Rachel Davis, secured a $772,000 jury verdict (the award is over $920,000 with interest) for an injured client, against a local taxi company, who was seriously injured when he came to the aid of a taxi-cab driver being assaulted.  The jury found the taxi company liable for being a cause of the assault due to a history of safety lapses that affected its drivers.  The total jury verdict against all liable parties was over $1,600,000.  The only proposal our client was ever made was a nuisance offer of $50,000.  He had the guts to fight and we are so happy for him.
