Snow at FHHS
As far as we know, FHHS was covered in snow for the first time. The students really enjoyed the "snow day", and one bridge had to be actually shoveled. It was interesting to see the weather change.

Science Fair

The 2019 Science Fair was held in the large gym over February 21-22, 2019. Almost 100 projects were on display in the gym. There were 19 categories with projects as specified by the ISEF, International Science and Engineering Science Fair organization.
After reviewing papers, tri-folds and presentations over the several day period, three projects were agreed upon that were given ribbons and will be going on to the State Science Fair on April 3rd, 2019 in the Phoenix Convention Center.
Those awards given Friday night were:

The Effect of Grains on Human Digestion
These students will be at the state competition in April and we hope participate in the international competition in Phoenix this year in May.

Engineering
Austin Johnson demonstrates a drone that he is duplicating and making his own body by 3-D Printing. Students this semester have been learning Computer Aided Drawing CAD and are now ready to apply their craft to 3-D Printing.

Intergenerational Band Concert
The FHHS Symphonic Band joined forces with the FHMS 8th Grade Band & FH Community Band on Tues.,Feb.26 at 6:30pm to present an Intergenerational Band concert showcasing the musical talents of our students & community! Special thanks to Al Roslieb (FHCB), Amy Laughlin (FHMS), and Lynn Truby (FHHS) for their musical direction and for planning the event!
The "HILLS" are alive with the sound of music!
