Annual Meeting to Feature Bill Burke,
Cape Cod National Seashore Historian
August 20 -- 4:00 to 6:00 PM at Wellfleet Council on Aging.
The Annual Meeting of the Friends of Herring River features Bill Burke, the Cape Cod National Seashore Historian.  He will speak about the history of the Herring River Estuary and nearby uplands based on a recently compiled park service archeological report.

William Burke joined the National Park Service in 1982 and has worked as an Interpreter/educator and historian at various National Parks on the east coast.   Bill came to the Cape Cod National Seashore in 2000 and currently serves as the Branch Chief for Cultural Resources and Park Historian.

In addition to an update on activities over the past year and a look ahead, there will  be a report on the 2013 herring count.

Last Walk on Bound Brook Island - August 30
