FHSD Stakeholders,

We are excited to extend an invitation to you on behalf of the student publications teams at Francis Howell Central (FHC) High School and Francis Howell High School (FHHS) for an upcoming event.

Journalism students are teaming up to organize, host and moderate a Board Candidate Forum, providing an opportunity for community members to hear from the four candidates vying for two positions on the FHSD Board of Education. The terms of current Board members Chad Lange and Janet Stiglich are set to expire in April 2024.
FHSD BOARD CANDIDATE FORUM

Date: Tuesday, March 19, 2024
Time: 7:00 p.m.
Location: FHC Auditorium

The forum will feature the following candidates, listed in the order they will appear on the April 2, 2024 ballot:

  • Steven Blair
  • Carolie Owens
  • Adriana Kuhn
  • Sam Young

Please note that this forum is entirely student-led, with no input from District officials regarding the questions posed to candidates.

The structure of the evening will include opening statements from each candidate, followed by a series of questions predetermined by FHC and FHHS Publications. Candidates will have one-and-a-half minutes to respond to each question. Towards the end of the forum, students will open the floor to questions from attendees and those submitted in advance via social media.

We understand that not everyone may be able to attend in person. The publications team will livestream the event on the FHCtoday Youtube channel.

The Board Candidate Forum is open to all members of the community. Registration is not required.
