All about the FICRA Fair!

Parking & Shuttle Information
Shuttle Service:
There will be two 13 passenger buses making the rounds continuously between the south parking lot of the Fox Island Alliance Church and the Nichols Community Center (NCC). These buses will have a lift to load wheelchairs, if needed. There should be a bus available for pickup or drop off about every 15 minutes or less. There will be signs directing you to the pickup/drop-off locations. Please consider using this FREE convenient parking and transportation service to relieve the street congestion around the Nichols Community Center.

Parking Options for the Fair
Remember all of the work and money that went into fixing up the sports field? We don't want to ruin it with a lot of cars driving over it! We also need to keep the street clear for emergency vehicles.

  • Please park in the South Parking Lot of the Fox Island Alliance Church and take the free shuttle.
  • Limited parking is available on the NCC Sports Field. We will have Scouts help directing the traffic to the parking on the sports field. The Scouts are doing this as a fundraiser to help offset some of their scouting costs.
  • We are discouraging parking on the streets surrounding the Nichols Community Center. We need access for emergency vehicles. There will be signs indicating NO PARKING on at least one side of 9th Avenue and on Gway. 
  • Please consider the alternative parking listed above. THANK YOU!

Fair Vendor Information
Food and Drinks
All food vendors will be in the Music and Food Court on the north side of the NCC.  
  • The Chapel on Echo Bay will be serving hot dogs, chips, cookies, wine, soft drinks, and water.  
  • The Fox Island Yacht Club will be serving hamburgers, chips, and soft drinks. 
  • The FICRA Beer Garden will be staffed by trained servers and will be serving Mac & Jack’s African Amber and Field 41 Pale Ale.
  • "Making Lil Donuts" is a new vendor this year, providing Mini Donuts and bottled water.
  • Great Northwest Popcorn will be back and serving great Kettle Corn and Ice Cream in a cup or cone.
  • The Fox Island United Church of Christ will be providing the delicious fair favorite blackberry cobbler - Yum!

Picnic tables with umbrellas will be available in the Music and Food Court.

Bingo is Back!
Glam-O-Rama BINGO Palace
Prizes - Fun - Out of the Sun!

Join fellow islanders of all ages at the Glam-O-Rama Bingo Palace! Take a rest from the fair midway and come inside the school house auditorium where you can enjoy a retro game of BINGO! Play for a modest fee. Win cash and prizes! Help raise money for FICRA. Wonder at the cool decorations and laugh with your MCs Hannah Jay and Emma Jay Byfield who put drama into every number called! 

Kids and Adults welcomed from 11:00-4:00. There will be 3 games per hour. Brief pause at noon for the World’s Shortest Parade.

Flower Show

Be sure to visit the Fox Island Flower Show at the FICRA Fair inside the Nichols Center.This is a fun and rewarding opportunity for all local residents to share their gardening skills. Ribbons will be awarded to the winners in the following categories: single stem flower, bouquet/floral arrangements, container plants and vegetable/fruit displays. All area residents are invited to bring their special flowers and vegetables to this judged competition. All entries must be homegrown.

World's Shortest Parade
Kids - be in the parade! Decorate your bike or wagon and join in!

The parade starts right after the singing of the National Anthem at noon.
FICRA Booth
Get your 2019 t-shirt! This year's logo design was created by a local artist and generously sponsored by Deborah Conlin.  The logo will be on gray, white and black t-shirts in a variety of long and short sleeved styles, along with sweatshirts. The cost is $20 per shirt and $40 per sweatshirt. Inventory left over from previous fairs will be available at discounted prices.

Supplies are limited, so stop by the FICRA booth first! 
Venice Beach Bicycle Raffle

Everyone who purchases a FICRA Fair shirt or joins/renews their annual dues at the FICRA booth will have an opportunity to enter the raffle for a brand new beach bicycle with basket! The bicycle is customized for Fox Island. You get one raffle entry for every shirt you purchase from the FICRA booth!

The bicycle raffle drawing will be held at 3:30pm with an announcement from the music stage.
