MOZART LOVES DEMOCRACY

Last Saturday, our own super volunteer and phonebank leader Susan Machtinger took a break from raking forests in Northern CA (suck it Donald!) in order to raise money to register Democrats.

Why? To save the world, naturally. How?

By opening up her beautiful home and holding an incredibly inspiring live Mozart concert. Field Team 6 Founder Jason Berlin spoke to a wonderful, engaged group of 40, including CA Congressman Jared Huffman!

This amazing concert helped raise the money that keeps Field Team 6 afloat, and helped raise the awareness that keeps us growing. Thank you, Susan, your virtuoso husband Steve, and all your friends from the bottom of our heart!

NEW POSTCARDS – PORTRAITS OF VOTERS IN SWING STATES!

On the heels of hitting one million postcards sent (!!!), we're proud to announce a new postcard series from renowned artist Deborah Aschheim, whom we met at the Bans Off Our Bodies rally in Los Angeles. 

Deborah is a force of nature working on all sorts of voting rights initiatives including 365 Days of Voters which gave us the idea for this series. Each postcard features a hand-drawn sketch of an organizer from one of Field Team 6's target states and a quote about why this work is so important. For those postcarders who love more room to write, you'll notice that these are the coveted 'full-back' cards, which have the artwork and address on one side so that you can use the entire back side to write your message!

THE GREAT AMERICAN BAKING SHOW: NOW CASTING!

If you learned to bake during the pandemic, or if you've been baking since you were a wee little thing, we could use your chops for an upcoming (delicious) project!

Dina, the inspiring leader of Bake Back Better – an organization that has raised over $150k for progressive organizations and campaigns – has offered to throw a fundraiser for Field Team 6 this December. If you are in Northern CA, Los Angeles, Seattle, Dallas or Atlanta, and you know your way around a cupcake tin, we'd love your help. Delivery drivers in those cities also needed.

Florida Texting — Monday, October 3 from 7-9p ET (with Bring it Home Florida)

Georgia Texting — Tuesday, October 4 from 1-3p ET (with Georgia NOW!)

Nevada Texting — Thursday, October 6 from 3-5p PT (with The Union)

California Texting (Kevin McCarthy's district) — Friday, October 7 from 4-6p PT

Each of these is a superfast textbank using the Spoke Rewired platform! You'll generally be reaching out to eligible female voters with a pro-abortion rights message, and believe us... these likely Democrats will want to hear from you!

Problem: We have more eligible voters who are likely Democrats in our database than we have the cash to text.
