Shooters...
What a perfect way to start off 2021, with a great weekend at Scarborough Fish & Game. Each day was nice for January in Maine, the targets were very fun, but most important, we celebrated the New Year with all of our friends. Also, this was the first time we ever got a shoot in both before and after a snow storm. We got treated to a shooting demonstration by Chuck DeVinne who shot a perfect 100 in the .5 event. The video of his last shot was on Facebook before he left the range.
NEWS
Jim will have 5-Stand set up this Wednesday from 10am - 3pm. If it is sunny we will set up out on the course (away from the sun), if its cloudy it will be in the normal spot on the field. Please remember to check-in at the club house and we'll let you know where we are shooting.
RESULTS
The Main event had some really fun and technical targets to start off the year. Dave Trudeau had the most fun by winning with a 97...great shooting Dave. Dave Larkin was close behind with a 96...congratulations Dave on RU.
The .5 event was the highlight of the day...yes the targets were fun, but we got a perfect 100 from Chuck DeVinne and that’s always exciting. Great shooting Chuck - we definitely didn't think a 100 was going to happen on that course. Now the hard luck award has to go to Timothy Dassow who probably shot his best score ever with a 98, but picked the one shoot with a 100 to do it in. Still great shooting Tim, normally it would have won.
THANKS
We want to thank Lisa for registration and scoring. Thanks to Jim Clemons for filling traps and plowing and shoveling the course so fast on Saturday. Thanks to everyone who helped run and clean up after the shoot, there were too many to get them all in. A winter shoot is a lot of extra work, and we are very thankful to have the great people helping out. As always, thanks to all of you that come out to shoot and support our club, you are the best!
Our next shoot is Frozen Five #4 & 4.5 on Saturday & Sunday, February 6 & 7. Registration will open on Monday, January 18 - when we send out the pre-reg email.
See you at the range!
