Wasn’t that a great way to celebrate Labor Day weekend? Pretty amazing that this event was just thought up two weeks ago and we had such good turnout. As a mater of fact, we want to apologize to everyone that ran into back ups on the course. We simply didn’t expect that many people or we would have done squadded rotations.
NEWS
Unfortunately, we will not be able to leave the course up this week. We have 10 days to set 102 traps for the old Zone One Championship. We will have a different course open this Wednesday from 10am - 5pm and next Sunday from 10am - 2pm for recreational shooting.
Don’t forget in less than two weeks, on the Saturday of the old Zone One Championship, we will be hosting the inaugural New England All Star Shoot Off and Calcutta. You won’t want to miss all the fun Saturday the 18th, at 2pm. All the information is on our web site.
RESULTS
The Labor Day Special was the friendlier event with some closer but still technical and challenging targets. Earle Glidden took HOA with a 95. He was followed closely by Neal Smith with a 94. Congratulations to both! The Tough Guy event definitely lived up to its name. We saw some of the most challenging targets of the year. They had speed, distance, and some technicality to them and scores showed it. Interesting stats from the Tough Guy...of 102 shooters, there were only 6 people in the 70s and only 26 in the 60s - so it was definitely tough! Once again Earle Glidden was HOA but this time with a 72. He was followed closely by Dave Trudeau with a 71. Congratulations to both!!
