Midway Fire Station Goes to Bid In August
We're busy this month working on construction documents for the Midway Fire Station located in Colonie, NY in preparation for an August 2015 bid date. The 14,840 square foot, three-bay fire station will replace the Fire District's 1950's facility. In the words of the Board of Fire Commissioners, the station will be "functional not fancy."

Last year voters turned down a request for a larger building. The successful scaled-back design that passed in the spring reduced the size of the proposed building by 29% while still retaining essential firematic features. The District Commissioners and FD members worked hard to help voters understand the need for on-going training, health and safety features, and adequate space for  administrative tasks.
