THROUGH OUR HANDS
'Unravelling History'
Anyone travelling near Leamington must visit the exhibition in the Royal Pump Rooms, (details lower down).
This exhibition is well worth a visit and with the contributors: Linda Kemshall, Laura Kemshall, Annabel Rainbow, Daniel Lismore, Jennie Moncur and Stephanie Redfern all sharing their diverse skills..
As well as textiles, the artists have taken inspiration from objects, including household items, painting, books, and ceramics, giving rise to a rise to a diverse range of textiles pieces in dialogue with history.
Visitors will have the opportunity to reflect on the ways that textiles can tell stories, connecting social histrory with personal narratives and highlighting the history and on-going relevance of textile art as a medium of creative expression.
Below is a snapshot of what you will be seeing when you go.
