“Eight years ago, DOCUTAH brought something edgy and new to a much smaller St. George and a budding documentary film festival – a documentary about a punk rock band from South Central Los Angeles – and that band came to play their unique brand of music for the audience. Now that film and the band, again, returns to DOCUTAH and St. George for a screening and live concert,” said Phil Tuckett, Assistant Professor of Digital Film at Dixie State University and Executive Director and founder of DOCUTAH. “And then, The Gringos approached us last week, and as friends of Fishbone, offered to appear as an opening act. How could we resist? That’s what makes DOCUTAH different. We want to offer a complete arts experience and are nimble and open to added value for our attendees. This second opportunity of bringing Fishbone back but adding another band seemed like destiny."
