Port Everglades and  Foreign-Trade Zone #25 Tour banner

Get a behind-the-scenes look at Broward County’s Foreign-Trade Zone No. 25 (FTZ) and port operations at Port Everglades on Thursday, October 23rd as part of the 10th Annual Florida International Trade and Cultural Expo (FITCE) experience!


As one of Florida’s leading economic generators, Port Everglades is one of the most diversified ports in the United States. It is a leading container port in Florida and among the most active cargo ports in the U.S. Port Everglades is the world’s third-busiest cruise homeport and is South Florida’s primary seaport for receiving petroleum products, including gasoline and jet fuel.

Registration window closes at 5PM EST on Friday, October 17th


10AM-11:30AM: This tour will include a visit to FTZ operator Toyota Tsusho America Inc. in Fort Lauderdale, followed by a stop at Port Everglades’ Southport cargo docks to get a behind-the-scenes view of operations and recent infrastructure investments. This tour will require mobility through ADA-compliant facilities; attendees will board and disembark motorcoaches and cross various surfaces.


2:15PM-3:45PM: This tour will take attendees into the FTZ-designated IWS warehouse at Port Everglades and the port’s Southport cargo docks for a behind-the-scenes view of operations and recent infrastructure investments. Attendees will also visit the port’s Harbormaster tower to learn about vessel operations. This tour will require mobility through ADA-compliant facilities; attendees will board and disembark motorcoaches, cross various surfaces and use a small elevator.


Where to meet: Outside the main entrance of the Broward County Convention Center. Look for tour signs. Shuttles will leave promptly at the designated time for each tour.


Additional information:

Closed-toed walking shoes are required (no high heels or sandals).

The tour takes place in security zones and all participants must register in advance and submit their government-issued photo identification information such as a passport or driver's license number.
