Dear FJUHSD Staff, Students, and Community,

As the holiday season approaches, it’s a wonderful time to reflect on all we’ve accomplished together and look ahead with hope and inspiration. This month’s theme, "Uniting Communities, Engaging Minds, Building Futures," embodies who we are at FJUHSD. We are excited to share a new video below that highlights the incredible work happening across our District.

A heartfelt thank you to our community for supporting Measure L, which passed with 57%! Your commitment ensures continued opportunities for our students. Congratulations to our 2025 Orange County Department of Education Teachers of the Year, Amanda Klaus (BPHS) and Aaron Riekenberg (LHHS), and to the Troy Girls Flag Football team, CIF Champions!

On behalf of the District and the Board of Trustees, we wish you a joyful holiday season filled with rest and cherished moments with loved ones. Don’t forget to check our newsletter for important upcoming dates and events.

With gratitude and best wishes,

Steve McLaughlin, Ed.D.

FJUHSD is Grateful!

District Mental Health Specialist, Kristi Boogaard and the La Vista ASB Team, collaborated to spread kindness and gratitude around campus in the month of November. Every Academy class participated in a lesson on gratitude and created handprints to represent everything they are grateful for! Also, students had the opportunity to join in on a fun activity called “You Rock” which encouraged students to paint encouraging words, phrases and pictures on rocks that were spread across campus in the flower beds. La Vista/La Sierra is full of good vibes! This is just one example of how the FJUHSD Wellness Team is making a difference for our students. For more information on District wellness resources, please click the link below.
