Dear FJUHSD Staff, Students, and Community,
As we begin the month of February, we want to thank our school communities for the strong turnout and engagement at our January Open Houses. It was wonderful to welcome families onto our campuses to see our schools firsthand and learn more about the wide range of programs and opportunities available to students. Our final Open House will take place on February 5th at 6:00 p.m. at LVHS/LSHS, and we hope you are able to join us for this final opportunity to connect and explore all that our schools have to offer.
February is also a time to reflect on the people who inspire us, and this month we proudly celebrate our theme, Inspired by Classified Staff. Every day, your dedication, care, and commitment help create welcoming schools where students can learn, grow, and succeed. From office professionals and instructional aides to custodial and maintenance teams, technology services, nutrition services, transportation, campus safety, and so many others, your work often happens behind the scenes, but its impact is felt in every classroom, hallway, and campus. You are essential to the success of our schools and the well-being of our students.
This month also includes several important awareness events highlighted throughout this newsletter, including Appreciating Classified Employees (ACE) Week, National School Counseling Week, Future Farmers of America (FFA) Week, and Career Technical Education (CTE) Month, along with many others. These observances celebrate the programs, pathways, and support systems that help prepare our students for their futures.
Thank you to our classified staff for the heart, professionalism, and pride you bring to your work. You inspire our District every day.
Warm Regards,
Steve McLaughlin, Ed.D.
Superintendent
