Dear FJUHSD Staff, Students, and Community,
It’s officially summer and I hope everyone is having a restful and relaxing time - summer days can be restorative! As we plan and prepare for the 2023/2024 school year, we have many exciting plans in the works for you that will be coming in August. Please take a look at our newsletter to see what is happening at FJUHSD, our reminders, celebrations, and resources. School orientations are right around the corner, so be sure to add these important dates to your calendars.
The District Office and all school sites are open throughout the summer and staff are available to answer any questions you may have. Please feel free to visit our website and social media on Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter for information.
On behalf of the Board of Trustees, and all of the FJUHSD staff, we sincerely hope you are enjoying family, friends, nature and some down time. We are very excited about welcoming our students back to school in August, and look forward to making many more meaningful connections as we continue to work, learn, and grow Together.

The FJUHSD Technology Services Department supports technology for students, teachers, and staff to promote and monitor educational growth at a high standard of excellence. We are committed to providing
up-to-date technology while providing a high level of customer service.

Summer time has officially begun! We would like to remind the class of 2023 Seniors to begin the process of moving their Google documents and emails to their personal accounts. Seniors will continue to have access to their accounts until late July. Please make sure all emails being sent to your school account are forwarded to your personal email accounts so you do not miss any important information from programs such as College Board. For detailed directions, please follow the link below.

At the Board meeting on June 6, Capitol Group donated $2,500 in support of the students at Fullerton Union High School. Thank you to Capitol Group for your generous donation. |

Facilities & Construction Updates
Sonora High School - Pool
|
|
The pool floor, walls and gutters have finally been poured. The contractor is currently prepping for the deck installation. Construction is moving along nicely in the chemical building. |

Remodel of the District Service Center |
|
|
|
The remodel of the District Service Center is almost complete. We are all moved in and enjoying our collaborative spaces. All of the Facilities and M & O employees have a space to call their own. |

Sunny Hills Parking Lot Resurfacing |
|
|
|
The parking lot demo has been completed and the concrete at the student drop-off area is underway. Work began to treat the asphalt during the week of June 26-29. Paving the parking lot will begin the first week of July. |

On June 8, the Facilities, Maintenance and Operations department hosted its annual Appreciation BBQ to thank all the staff for their hard work and dedication to the District. |

Suicide Prevention Lifeline
988 has been designated as the new three-digit dialing code that will route callers to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. While some areas may be currently able to connect to the Lifeline by dialing 988, this dialing code will be available to everyone across the United States starting on July 16, 2022.
When people call, text, or chat 988, they will be connected to trained counselors that are part of the existing National Suicide Prevention Lifeline network. These trained counselors will listen, understand how their problems are affecting them, provide support, and connect them to resources if necessary.
