Dear FJUHSD Staff, Students, and Community,
As we move into November, our theme for the month, "Building Futures," resonates strongly with the work we do every day. Our commitment to creating a brighter future for all students is evident in every classroom, every program, and through the successful completion of our Measure I projects. Thanks to the overwhelming support of our community, we are now closing in on the final stages of these important projects. For a detailed recap of all the exciting upgrades and improvements across our District, be sure to check out the Business Services portion of this newsletter.
November also brings the season of Thanksgiving, a time to reflect on our many blessings and express gratitude. I am incredibly thankful for our dedicated staff, supportive families, and the strong partnerships that make FJUHSD such a special place. As you plan for the holidays, I encourage you to visit our District calendar, where you can find important dates, including upcoming holidays and our Staff Development Day.
We’d also like to give a special shoutout to our PTA Councils for their ongoing efforts to support our students and schools. Please consider using the QR codes below to learn more about how you can join and support their valuable work. As we move forward together, let's continue building futures for our students—one step, one project, and one day at a time. I am proud of all we have accomplished, and I look forward to what’s to come.
Wishing you all a joyful and restful Thanksgiving season.
Sincerely,
Steve McLaughlin, Ed.D.
Superintendent

One of our most recent achievements is the completion of the Fullerton Union High School pool replacement project. The new facility was unveiled during a memorable ribbon-cutting ceremony on October 14, 2024, where students, staff, and community members came together to celebrate this significant milestone.
These completed projects are not just physical structures; they represent our District's ongoing mission to build a brighter future for our students. Thank you for your continued support as we strive to provide the best possible educational experiences.
Together, we are truly Building Futures!

Coffee and Donuts with Human Resources
On October 24, 2024, the Human Resources team visited Troy High School for a morning of “Coffee and Donuts with HR.” Held in the TRHS Staff Lounge, the event invited staff to connect with HR in a warm, informal setting. This gathering embodied our District’s theme of Uniting Communities, Engaging Minds, Building Futures by fostering open communication, strengthening relationships, and building a supportive school community. The HR team appreciates the opportunity to engage with staff, answer questions, and hear valuable feedback. In the coming months, we look forward to visiting other school sites to continue these conversations and strengthen connections across our District.
