Dear FJUHSD Staff, Students, and Community,

It has been wonderful to welcome everyone back for the 2026/27 school year and see our campuses filled with energy, learning, and connection.

Our theme this year, “Every Student Every Day,” reflects our commitment to ensuring every student feels supported, connected, and provided with opportunities to succeed. This month, we are especially excited to share our Freshman Student Highlights, celebrating our newest students and their first experiences as part of the FJUHSD community.

Thank you to our families who joined us for Back to School Nights, and we encourage students and families to take advantage of our upcoming College Nights and College Fairs as they begin planning for the future.

Be sure to watch our First Week of School Video and continue through the newsletter for student highlights, District news, resources, and important upcoming dates.

We look forward to a great year focused on Every Student Every Day!

Warm regards,

Steve McLaughlin, Ed.D.

Education & Assessment Services

Dear FJUHSD Parents, Students, and Staff,

As we begin the 2026–2027 school year, we want every student to know that support is always within reach.

FJUHSD Wellness continues to set the standard for school-based wellness services in Orange County. Our exceptional Mental Wellness Team is committed to ensuring that every student feels connected, supported, and empowered to thrive, academically, socially, and emotionally.

Throughout the year, our Districtwide wellness campaigns will emphasize four important commitments:

• Every Connection Matters

• Every Student Belongs

• Every Student Is Supported

• Every Mind Matters

Students who need encouragement, a quiet place to reset, or someone to talk with are invited to visit one of our beautifully equipped WellSpaces, connect with one of our outstanding school counselors or mental health professionals, or explore the resources available on the FJUHSD Wellness website.

Whether a student is managing stress, looking for greater connection, experiencing a difficult time, or simply needs a caring adult to listen, our wellness team is here to help.

At FJUHSD, wellness is more than a program, it is a year-round commitment to ensuring that every student feels seen, valued, and supported.

Connected. Supported. Empowered. Every Student, Every Day!

Human Resources

Supporting Those Who Support Every Student, Every Day

This year, the Fullerton Joint Union High School District welcomed over 50 new employees. For the last couple of weeks, the Human Resources team has been out across the District, welcoming employees back and kicking off the 2026/27 school year. These visits were another opportunity to put CARE (Connect, Appreciate, Reflect, Elevate) into action by spending time with employees where they work, checking in on them, and recognizing their contributions. Administrators visited the classrooms of new teachers to connect with our newest employees, show appreciation, listen, answer questions, and remind them that Human Resources is here to support them throughout the school year.

We value our employees, and we are proud to say that they show up ready to support Every Student, Every Day!
