Meeting called to order by President-Elect Lindsey Lenhart. 

Total attendance; 17, members-15, other Kiwanis members-1, Bob Kemper (N.C), Guests-0; Speaker; member Andrew Kurtz. Please keep Nancy Nelson in your thoughts as she undergoes some additional treatments. 

50/50 winner was Bill Grant. Anyone can participate in the 50/50 and win the instant winnings however only club members are eligible to take chance to pull the ace of hearts if their ticket is drawn. 



Rachel and Lindsey presented our servers with a Christmas token of appreciation from our club.  


DCM (Division Council Meeting)-First one for the year is January 2 at Kiwanis Hall. The Cape Coral Club is hosting. Dinner s $8.00 and served at 6:00pm. Governor Steve and his wife will be attending.  Let Kim know by Dec 28th if you are attending. If we have a minimum of 4 members we can count this as an Interclub. An email went out to all members with additional details such as the address.

We received this feedback from parent:  I saw your representative at the academic acknowledgement activity at my daughter's school- Rayma C Page.  We are new to the area, recently relocating from Colorado Springs, but I wanted to let you know that it was great to see community involvement celebrating and encouraging the success of the student body and academia.  Well done. Oasis Reading Room- (Stewart Ross). Reading will start back up in January. Weekly reading at Orangewood Elementary on Wednesdays (except on designated school holidays) to first and second grade youth. Times are 1:50pm-2:30pm (you have two different youth during this time). Literacy Buddy-Early Learning Coalition-Enroll  on the application mention you are affiliated with our club. It's not to late to sign up. The agency states they are short about 12 volunteer buddies this year.

MS Support Group- (Bill Grant), meets 3rd Thursday of the month at St. Hilary Episcopal Church.

Aktion Club-(Karen Hurst) at LARC. Meets 2nd Tuesday at 8:30am. They had a meeting this morning and made PB&J sandwiches for the homeless.
CKI Club-    FGCU.  Looking for a club member to take on advisor role for this club. Can you help? See Rachel or Lindsey. On winter break.

Key Club- ( Harris Segel) Collegiate High on FSW campus. On winter break.

Builder's Club-( Barbara Hartman, Todd Adams, Ada Trapanese) Cypress Lake Middle School. Meets 1st and 3rd Wednesdays at 4:00pm.  On winter break.

K-Kids-( Kim Berghs) Littleton Elementary at 2:15pm on Wednesdays 1-2 times per month.

                                   Today's  Program: Gulf Coat Symphony 

Our presenter today was Dr. Andrew Kurtz, also our newest club member.  He spoke about the role Gulf Coast Symphony plays in the community.  Part of Taste of the Cape, participated in a Hurricane benefit concern at Barbara B Mann, waiting for funding for three positions for people from Lighthouse of SWFL, outreach programs with skilled musicians at locations including Art fest, Community Cooperative, and Lighthouse of SWFL, the Music Works programs (currently has 48 kids), and Family Days at Community Cooperative with hands on activities.  They are active year round and have 16 concerts at Barbara B. In July they will preform a new concert, Space The Final Frontier. To reach Andrew 239-277-1700 or
