Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania - Dan Wingard, Managing Partner at Booth Park Capital (“BPC”), and Joel Pokorney, Managing Partner at Forest Lane Capital (“FLC”), are pleased to announce they have combined firms and will now operate under the Forest Lane Capital name.
Wingard and Pokorney have spent most of their careers in private equity and investing in lower middle market businesses. In 2018, Wingard and Pokorney formed their own private investment firms, Booth Park Capital and Forest Lane Capital. BPC and FLC later partnered together in the acquisition of Meritech Systems, LLC (“Meritech”) in January 2019 (www.meritech.com). Wingard and Pokorney have been working closely together ever since and decided to officially partner under one name to accelerate growth of its family-office based committed fund.
“Joel and I are excited to announce our partnership,” explained Dan Wingard. “We have known each other for many years now and our partnership on Meritech illustrated how complementary our respective skill sets are. We have been focused on growing our first platform, and want to continue to build momentum in the lower middle market together. Our mix of deal experience and access to capital allowed us to create a differentiated family-office buyout firm.”
Meritech Systems is the industry leader in fully automated hand hygiene technology that protects employees against bacteria, viruses and other harmful pathogens. Meritech was founded 30 years ago and serves all end markets that have a higher standard for employee hygiene including food production, healthcare, pharmaceutical/cleanrooms, cruise lines, nutraceutical, pet food, restaurants, childcare, public use, and many others. FLC is now seeking to acquire add-ons for this platform (infection/hygiene control products, services, or technologies - no minimum size).
