This year for our God’s Work/Our Hands project FLC is partnering with Lutheran Service Corps of Omaha, an agency where young people spend a year doing volunteer service for non-profit organizations in the community, and commit to living together in an intentional community of faith on a sparse stipend. We want to PACK the PANTRY for the Fall/Winter by October 10! FIRST LUTHERAN CHURCH SUMMER GARDEN SHARE
This year First Lutheran gardeners will be donating vegetables and fruits to be given to families who receive the food assistance through First Lutheran Church. FLC gardeners are asked to bring their donated vegetables and fruits to the church on Tuesday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or, preferably, on Wednesday, 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Signs will be in place directing the donors as to where in the Fellowship Hall the vegetables should be placed. Because of this change, gardeners are encouraged to stick with the basic vegetables or fruits which they have grown. Thank you in advance to ALL of our generous FLC gardeners!
