Pastor Glen's focus for his message for

this upcoming weekend:

Why church? That is the question – not “how church” or “what church.” The church is not a thing – it is a living body, an instrument of holy work, a verb. We treat church like any other social club or civic organization to which we might belong. We have abandoned its sacred character and so we lose the promise of Easter. Do we understand the purpose of this gift, how by Word and Sacrament Resurrection happens anew every time we church? Here we are caught in the most significant truth of ourselves – we crucified Jesus. This stabbing reality is the beginning of hope, because God raised him from death and so changed everything. And so changed us.

Phase 2 Work Day April 25th, DUE TO THE WEATHER!!!!-CHANGE OF DATE!!!

The next phase of our important work at the Potters field site at the Blair cemetery will be taking place this spring. In the next few weeks we'll have another round of tree work by Steve Hytrek of NuView landscaping that will hopefully open up the entire site to the northern boundary. On Saturday, April 25th, we will begin the process of planting ground cover to hold up at the bank on the South side of the site, where there has been erosion over the years. With thanks to Milt and Jane Heinrich for their donation, we will be transplanting Lamium from their home to the cemetery site. We will begin at the Henrich house at 8:00 am with the process of digging up plants and then beginning at 9:00 am we will be planting at the Potters field site. Please bring small hand shovels, a wheelbarrow if you have one, and wear work gloves. There is a sign-up sheet at the welcome center with more details.

Please take the time to stop in and view our 8th Grade Confirmation students' Faith Projects! The 14 students created these projects to represent their faith journey as they near the end of their 3 year Confirmation experience and are confirmed on April 26, 2026. The projects are extremely unique and beautiful. Come in and see what our youth can teach US about our God and our faith.

Women’s Bible Study

Ladies…now that the holidays are behind us, are you looking for something to keep the spirit of Christmas alive in your hearts and in your lives?  Come and join other ladies on Friday mornings as we begin a new study about women of the Bible entitled “Brave and Beloved” by Meredith Storrs.

“Women of the Bible are just like us, but their particular lives, choices, and problems can sometimes feel foreign when we read them today.  Through their stories, we can glimpse a vision of what it means to be a godly woman, but sometimes their experiences leave us scratching our heads.  This Bible study looks specifically at key women in Scripture to discover how their stories upend cultural expectations and reveal the nature and character of the God who created us all.”

This Bible study meets on Friday mornings from 9:15 to 10:45 in the church library.  No need to sign up, just show up.  Questions?  Email Susie Pinquoch at spinquoch@gmail.com or call (402) 533-3735.
