First Lutheran Church on Sunday, November 14th

from 7:30am-11:30am

Three Rivers Health Department

will be hosting a

Walk-In Clinic for COVID Immunizations for 5-11 year olds

here at First Lutheran Church on Monday, November 15th

from 3:00-5:30pm

No LIFE Night


There will be No LIFE Night on

Wednesday, November 24th.

 

No Worship Lab or LIFE Night

 Classes on that night.

There will still be the Mid Week Meal.

We will begin sales on November 3rd.

Contact an FLC Youth or Erika to order yours Nov 3-19 and support our youth!!

All orders will be available for pickup on Nov 24th after 12pm at the east entrance to the Fellowship Hall.


Ruth Circle


ATTENTION all RUTH CIRCLE MEMBERS and any other women who would like to join us! We will meet again on our regular second Tuesday, November 9, at 2:00 P.M. at Johansen Manor in the Activity Room. Bring your Bibles and your Gather magazine. If you don’t receive the Gather magazine, come anyway! We will explore together Sara Olson-Smith’s final lesson about “The Gift of the Holy Spirit: A Divine Wild Goose Chase”! And if you have never come before, don’t let that stop you! We would love to have you join us!  Joan Krogh will be our hostess.  

Social Concerns Announcements:


Mark your calendars for our ELCA World Hunger Emphasis on November 13, 14, and 17, when you will receive information sheets and envelopes at our worship services for your contributions to help the over 800,000 million people who are chronically hungry! If you are not able to come to one of these worship services you can mail your check to First Lutheran Church or drop it off there, preferably by the end of November. Checks should be made out to First Lutheran Church with ELCA World Hunger on the memo line. Thank you in advance for your generous gifts for God's children in need, both in this country and throughout the world!  


Please note there is both a plastic and a wooden Receptacle for gifts to the WASHINGTON COUNTY FOOD PANTRY are available to receive your food donations at FLC at any time!

Craft Fair Workers Needed


We are in need of workers for the Annual FLC craft fair. Please see the sign up sheets at the Welcome Center to volunteer. We are looking for workers for the kitchen on Saturday, November 20th and bakers for coffee cake, desserts, and goods to sell at the bake sale. If you want to sign up to work or have questions please call Rhonda at (402) 427-3341.


Our 9 to 12 Youth Group is HUNGRY on Sunday nights again!!



We currently have about 10-12 kids coming each night at 6:30pm to eat dinner together and spend time together doing all sorts of activities.

If you would be willing to provide a homemade dinner (chili or casserole or tacos...) or donate money to purchase a dinner (pizza or subs or other...), please contact Erika at 402-533-0918.  

Driver Needed to deliver Meals


We are looking for 1 driver to deliver Mid Week Meals for FLC. It would be 2 times a month on Wednesdays to start between 5:00pm & 5:30pm. It would not take more than an hour to deliver meals to people in the Blair Community. We are needing someone starting in October. Please contact Erika if interested at (402) 533-0918.


Lutheran Family Services Speaker at the Blair Library



Thurs. Nov. 11, 7 pm, Blair Library. Join Holly Kaffenberger. " Lutheran Family Services immigration speaker, for "Refugee Settlement 101" for information about what local churches, businesses and schools can do to welcome and support Afghan refugees to the Omaha area. Ms. Kaffenberger will give us "nuts and bolts" information on mentoring, literacy, specific donations and hosting that our local citizens can share.
