eNews for June 3, 2020
Church members, friends, and neighbors,

What does the Lord require of you? Micah 6:8 says, "To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God."

What is the will of God? 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 says, "Rejoice always,  pray continually,  give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus."

So as believers, how are we to act when we are faced with disaster, disease, and death in this world?

  1. Act justly
  2. Love mercy
  3. Walk humbly with our God

Why? Because it is God's will for us, shown to us in/with/through Jesus Christ! God's will for us is to:

  1. Rejoice always
  2. Pray continually
  3. Give thanks in all circumstances

Regardless of what we are facing in life, God defines how His people should behave - not because they are laws for us to follow, but because of the infinite love, grace, and mercy He has shown us.

1 John 4:19
"We love because he first loved us."

As we continue to work on the plan to reopen our live worship services, use this time apart to work on sharing God's love with everyone you come across!

Keep the faith and do not give up! In Luke 12:35-36 Jesus says, "Be dressed ready for service and keep your lamps burning, like servants waiting for their master to return from a wedding banquet, so that when he comes and knocks they can immediately open the door for him." Stay awake by protecting your faith.
