Church members, friends, and neighbors,
What does the Lord
require of you?
Micah 6:8 says, "To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God."
What is the
will of God?
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 says, "Rejoice always,
pray continually,
give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus."
So as believers, how are we to
act when we are faced with disaster, disease, and death in this world?
- Act justly
- Love mercy
- Walk humbly with our God
Why? Because it is God's will for us, shown to us in/with/through Jesus Christ! God's
will for us is to:
- Rejoice always
- Pray continually
- Give thanks in all circumstances
Regardless of what we are facing in life, God defines how His people should behave - not because they are laws for us to follow, but because of the infinite love, grace, and mercy He has shown us.
1 John 4:19
"We love because he first loved us."
