Do you have “happy feet”? Do you have cramped feet? Swift, rapid feet? Even vanishing feet? And just how can a little ole’ quilt shop help you with these issues? If you don’t know where to put your feet (besides in the Mississippi mud!), we have the BIG Book of Feet to help you out, and it’s 20% off also this month. Plus we have a small booklet that you can list all the feet that you currently do have, and keep adding to that book. That way, when there’s a sale, you’ll always know if this is a wishlist foot or a foot that you already own. In the booklet, there’s a picture of the foot and a small description of what it is used for. Using some of those new feet you just looked at, we have upcoming classes with which to pair together. How’s that for careful planning?!?! On March 15, Saturday, Barb J. is teaching a Sewing With Cork class, and it should be a real corker!!! We have cork in shop, or bring your own. I would love to use my new Teflon foot on this, or with vinyl or leather or with any other surface which could cause your foot to “stall out” or not sew smoothly. On March 18, a Tuesday, Jan T. will be teaching a Binding Class. She will be covering many ways to bind, or finish, a quilt so that your corners are mitered and your look is professional. This phase of the quilt is a downfall for so many people that we thought a class on BINDING was almost a necessity. It’s perfect for a new quilter or someone who wants to learn how to properly machine bind or make those good looking miters. It’s only $10, and you’ll pick up lots of tips to help you. | |
A third new class is In Big Woods, with instructor Katie W. It is a strip pieced, half square triangle, fat quarter friendly quilt, and very beginner friendly! It can be scrappy, like Katie’s sample in the classroom, or it can be more color friendly. We just got in more colorful hombres, which I think would look great in this quilt (along with the easy bargello style quilts in the classroom). So many choices, so little time. | |
