President's Message

As my term as president of our sports club comes to a close, I want to thank everyone for the support, camaraderie, and commitment that made this past year a positive one. It has truly been a role that allowed me—and I hope others—to grow, learn, and contribute meaningfully to our club's mission.

The banquet was a memorable way to wrap up the 2024–25 season, with great attendance and a wonderful venue. Congratulations to our Annual Awards winners: Kristen Foland, Rookie of the Year, for her fantastic work on our website; Carol Hamilton and Elaine Buchberger, who shared Project of the Year for seamlessly switching roles between treasurer and membership; and Pat Personius, Pat GlancyAward, recognized for always being helpful and enthusiastic.

I was deeply honored to also receive the Member of the Year award—thank you.

While I’m stepping down as president, I’ll continue to serve on the board alongside many familiar faces, and I’m hopeful that we’ll welcome new members soon to help us keep moving forward.

I’m happy to pass the leadership on to Bob Sloan, who has been a dedicated member

for decades. Here’s to another strong year ahead!

~ Linda Tersegno (soon to be ex-officio)

Annual Banquet & Awards Night

A SUCCESS!!

Saturday April 26

The Point at Sand Beach

We had 61 people attend the banquet. The Springside Inn did a great job at the Point. The venue was a really nice size for us and the food was delicious.

We had some laughs with the gag awards. A Special thanks to Linda as she completes her term as presiden and congrats on being Member of the Year.

Thanks to all that helped with prizes, slideshow, music and planning to make this year’s banquet a success!!

Erie Canal Clean Sweep-RECAP

Sunday April 27

Erie Canal celebrated 200 years with a Clean Sweep Event. Our club participated in cleaning 1 mile of the canal from Weedsport to Centerport Road.

We stopped at Lunkenheimer’s Brewing for a snack and music afterwards.

Eleven enthusiastic volunteers came out on a sunny cool Sunday afternoon. Thank you volunteers for supporting this event and community service for our club.
