For those that have not seen the current Fastrack News, there has been an update to the Formula Mazda Rule set for the FX Class. While tires and minimum weight are the more significant changes, there are a number of items that have been clarified, or simplified, please read the entire rule set thoroughly. Below you will find relevant links.
TIRES:
The biggest change is that there is no "spec" tire rule for the Formula Mazda in the FX Class. Manufacturer and compound are "Open". Please see the Updated Formula Mazda Rule Set for more details.
We encourage those who are still looking for tire longevity to continue to use the incredible Goodyear 470, but for those looking for other options we have provided a starting point in the FM Competitor Memo. We encourage you to reach out to your tire manufacturer/supplier of choice for recommendations and to place your tire orders.
MINIMUM Weight:
The minimum class weight including driver will be 1320 lbs.
