FAFP Present at Healthcare Roundtable

Dr. Del Carter, FAFP Resident Board President, participated in a State of Healthcare Roundtable discussion in Tallahassee on July 28 hosted by a Rep. Gallop Franklin and attended by more than two dozen healthcare stakeholders. The discussion was focused on learning perspectives on:

• The effectiveness of Florida’s healthcare continuum
• Successes and opportunities in our healthcare delivery models
• The role of community health clinics in serving under-resourced populations
• The current state of medical research in Florida
• Challenges and opportunities in light of potential federal funding changes (e.g., Medicaid adjustments or block grants)
