11+ Years in the Making!
Kuhn Hall Renovation
After 11+ years of research, planning, fundraising, coordinating, designing, receiving Army approvals and five Garrison Commanders, it is with great pleasure the FMA Foundation shares that construction of historic Kuhn Hall is in full swing. FMA Foundation President Deon Viergutz and Fort Meade’s current Garrison Commander COL Christopher Nyland recently hosted an online donor update chock-full of details (and pictures!) about the progress of transforming Kuhn Hall into the highly anticipated Education and Resiliency Center. The renovated facility is expected to be completed by the end of 2022.
Portal Resource
While work is being done on the building, we also launched a Fort Meade Resiliency portal which gives Fort Meade personnel and their family members valuable resources right at their fingertips. The portal, located at ftmeaderesiliency.org, provides a new way to access resiliency services from mental health resources to nutrition counseling to financial services and employment assistance. This portal focuses on the five pillars of resiliency – family, emotional, physical, spiritual and social. In addition, 12 kiosks will be conveniently placed throughout the installation for easy access to the services.
It's been quite a journey and your support has been monumental to the success of these two projects. Be sure to visit our website to learn more about all that's been involved in the process so far and to get a glimpse of what to expect through 2022.

Resiliency Roundtable Recap
Garrison Commander COL Christopher Nyland, Fort Meade MEDDAC Commander COL Tracy Michael and FMA President Doreen Harwood met over the summer to discuss the extraordinary resiliency challenges Fort George G. Meade faces. The importance of the anticipated Education and Resiliency Center at historic Kuhn Hall was emphasized as both Colonels dug deeper into the need for resiliency services.

At the end of the discussion, we were able to formally thank Fort Meade by presenting a framed snapshot of the "Thank You Fort Meade" video the FMA produced earlier this year.
We Appreciate You!
