Brother-to Brother Scholarship Applications available
 

 
Applications for the Brother-to-Brother Scholarship Fund are now available.

Scholarships are awarded annually to graduating high school seniors to assist with college expenses. 
 
Applications are available at the church office, north hall at the Information Tree and online  by visiting 
www.fmbcmobile.net or clicking here. The application deadline is 
May 27, 2018.
 
The Brother-to-Brother Scholarship is funded through generous gifts and memorials from FMBC members.

Atlanta Minister Preaches at Mobile's 
Friendship Missionary Baptist-Cody Road
 


        Rev. Dr. Gregory Sutton of Jackson Memorial Baptist Church of Atlanta w ill give two sermons, one at 8 a.m. and the second one at 11 a.m. at the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church located on Cody Road in Mobile, and the community is invited to attend. Rev. Charles W. Porter is currently executive pastor.
 
            Sutton was called to serve the Lord at a young age. By the time he was 18 years old, he was called to pastor at Jackson Memorial, where he has pastored for 46 years. He is a respected and recognized spiritual leader, theological ambassador, mentor and community activist.

FMBC Public Relations Ministry 
Needs Members

 The deacons, trustees and ministers of Friendship  Missionary Baptist Church have approved the  reinstatement of the Public Relations Ministry and a  PR Ministry meeting has been scheduled for 6 p.m.-7 p.m. Thursday, May 3 , in the Family Life Center.

  The FMBC PR Ministry will serve the church and increase the community's awareness about the FMBC  Church values, mission and events, and help guide  prospective members to join FMBC. The PR Ministry  will assist with church internal and external  communication needs, develop and enhance  relationships with the news 
media and promote  the church and major ministry events  and community  outreach. This includes managing media relations, crisis management, marketing and advertising.

 The PR ministry is looking for creative and innovative  members to join the ministry and help promote and  publicize FMBC. The ministry needs teen and adult  members who enjoy writing, strategic  planning/organization, research, social media,  photography, speaking, and graphic design. 

 The PR Ministry is pleased to announce the new 
FMBC News, which will be a bi-weekly e-newsletter  that will include news and special events.  A printed version of the e-newsletter will be available for members who make the request. The deadline to submit information for FMBC News is on Wednesday by noon.
