FMEC has a Challenge for You

For over 30 years, the FMEC has brought medical students to the Annual Meeting on scholarship. They present posters, meet residents and family medicine leaders from around the region, and learn about family medicine residencies at the Residency Fair. Medical students first attended the FMEC Annual Meeting in 1992, through an initiative started by Dr. Nik Zervanos. Over the last 20 years, the FMEC has provided more than 7,000 scholarships.

At the plenary session last night, FMEC Immediate Past President Dr. Leon McCrea announced that the FMEC Board of Trustees, along with our Past Presidents and Board members, pledged $20,000 to support scholarships over the next year. Please help match the amount pledged by the FMEC leadership and donate to support the Nik Zervanos, MD Student Scholarship Fund. To donate, visit the FMEC student scholarship website.

Thank you to our 2025 Student Scholarship Donors!

The FMEC thanks the many individuals, residency programs, and others who contribute each year to the student scholarship fund. Donors below supported 4 or more scholarships in 2025. For the complete list of donors, visit the FMEC student scholarship website.
