Direct Primary Care, a Doctor Love Story

Dr. Smith used to work for a large healthcare organization.  When she and the organization first got to know each other, it seemed promising.  They both wanted their patients to be healthy while helping each other succeed.  Not long after they got together, things started to change.  The waiting room started filling up.  Then, Dr. Smith was told her RVUs were too low.  She had more labs and test results than she could address by herself, and the organization refused her request for additional clinical staff to help her get all this work done.   Read More

2017 DPC Summit

The 2017 DPC Summit was held June 14 - 16, 2017.  It was co-sponsored by the FMEC, AAFP and the ACOFP. This was the fifth Summit in the series.  It was another smashing success!

Approximately 300 registrants participated in the event.  Some highlights include:
 
The Primary Care Innovators Network offered a Preconference event "Alignment of the Business Interests of Self-funded Employers and DPC Model Practice". The presentation was designed to create dialogue between self-insured employers and primary care practice leaders.   Read More
