FMSC 100 Envelope Challenge Results Are IN!
God is pictured as feeding the hungry. In Luke 1, Mary sings: "God upholds the cause of the oppressed and gives food to the hungry."
Dear Friends in Christ,
First, thank you for the many ways that you support the Lakes Area FMSC MobilePack. Did you know that because of you and your support of the mission and ministry of Hosanna- our mission post is available to host such an event? This is exactly why FMSC invited us into this partnership and WE have never looked back.
Second, thank you to the many people who grabbed a FMSC Challenge Envelope and met or exceeded the amount suggested! A review of the CHALLENGE:
- If all 100 envelopes were taken,
- and if every envelope was returned with the amount suggested,
- the results would be $5050.
There was a $5000 matching challenge if we accomplished this.
The RESULTS are in:
- 77 envelopes were returned
- $6071 was collected
- That's OVER 33,000 meals provided!!!
WOW- once again you went above and beyond. The Matching Challenge was not fully met as there were not 100 envelopes returned but we busted through the dollar amount with fewer envelopes. I am waiting to hear back from the "challengers"- as they are out of town. Stay tuned!
I return to my opening paragraph with words of gratitude. Because of YOU we have the opportunity to reach a milestone this year- packing our 1 MILLIONTH MEAL as a community. Stay tuned to hear more about the challenge... Save the dates to volunteer: April 25-27, 2019. In the meantime, LIVE, LOVE and SERVE as Jesus did so that ALL will know Him!!
