As Christians, we are all called to ministry. Ministry is defined as spiritual work or service of any Christian or a group of Christians, especially evangelism. Evangelism is the spreading of the Christian gospel by public preaching or personal witness.
But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry
(2 Timothy 4:5 KJV).
And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him (Colossians 3:17 KJV).
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for choosing us to be Your witnesses in the earth today. Fill us with Your Spirit so that we can clearly see that the time for harvest on earth is NOW! Your Word teaches that All of us must quickly carry out the tasks assigned us, for there is little time left before the night falls and all work comes to an end (John 9:4 LB). Lord, there is so much work to do and we acknowledge that we are helpless to do anything without You. But we rejoice because You promised that You would be our helper. Help us to always remember that it is You we are working for no matter where we are - at work, at school, at home, in the church, or on the street. Reveal to us anything in our lives that would hinder our prayers and the work You’ve assigned us to do for You said that You would not listen to us if we have not confessed our sins (Psalms 66:18). Point out anything You find in us that makes You sad and lead us along the path of everlasting life (Psalm 139:24 LB). Let there be nothing undone that You have purposed for this ministry and every ministry that will courageously stand for You in these evil days. We give You thanks for everything, in the precious name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Amen!
