The counsel of the LORD stands forever, the plans of His heart to all generations (Psalms 33:11 NIV).

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for waking us up another morning! Each day and every breath are blessings from You. We’re grateful for the time You’ve given us and the opportunity for us to continue to grow and walk in the purpose You have for our lives. Forgive us for any point we’ve taken time for granted—help us to be able to slow down this week and truly marinate on the goodness and faithfulness You’ve shown us and our loved ones! I pray that You will block out any distractions coming our way this week and for any obstacles that do arise, that You would equip us with the faith and right mindset to overcome them.

We thank You that regardless of what comes our way, we can rest knowing that in You we have freedom in Jesus Christ. When doubt, stress, and guilt begin to creep into our lives, I pray that You would call to our memory the hope and peace we have in You. Let us remember that in all things You are working for good (Romans 8:28).

Thank You for every time You’ve corrected us, every time You’ve redirected our paths. Thank You for saving us from our own decisions and from outcomes we couldn’t even foresee. Though we may at times become overwhelmed with happenings in our personal lives and the ways of this world, we know that ultimately You are in control. Nothing comes as a surprise to You! So regardless of any perceived setback or any moment of confusion, we’re grateful that at the end of the day, we are under Your plan and not our own. We know that You are able to use it all for Your glory. Your ways are perfect!

Thank You for hearing us. We are grateful for all You have done and all You will do, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
