January 2023 Meeting Summary

The DC Secondary Transition Community of Practice kicked off 2023 with opportunities to build relationships with each other, to cultivate a shared understanding of our community of practice, and to identify topics for the upcoming meetings. Thank you to everyone who participated with such high engagement and thoughtfulness!

Next Steps:

  • Review and add to our CoP Announcements and Resources Padlet with upcoming events, resources you have found helpful related to secondary transition, or list topics you would like to know more about or can help others with addressing.
  • Connect with us! Schedule a 15–20-minute informational interview so that we can learn more about how this CoP can best meet the needs of our youth and our members or email to share your ideas for a potential meeting topic. Contact Julie Holt at julie.holt@schooltalkdc.org.
  • Mark your Calendar: Our next meeting will be Friday, February 17th from 10:00-11:30am. We will be focused on business engagement with Work-Based Learning Opportunities, and we look forward to seeing you there. Register here if you have not already done so.
