Thank you for your support in 2024, and for helping us end the year strong! We are especially grateful to the anonymous, dedicated friends who provided a $50,000 matching fund at the end of the year. This match inspired so many people to donate to FONA and join our growing community of supporters. Thanks to all of these donors, we exceeded the matching goal! We deeply appreciate this support, and are excited to see what 2025 will bring at the National Arboretum. | |

The beginning of each year is often a time for reflection and resolutions. If you're making your own New Year's resolutions, we have some ideas for how you can incorporate the National Arboretum into them.
Get outdoors more. The Arboretum's 451 acres of curated collections, rolling forests, and open fields are a unique outdoor oasis in the heart of Washington, D.C. If you want to get outdoors more in the new year, try exploring a new collection each time you visit the National Arboretum.

Challenge yourself to a race. If you are trying to run or walk more this year, test your progress during FONA's Flowering 5K on Sunday, March 23rd. During this race, all roads are closed to cars to create a safe and secure event. Plus, tickets for kids under 13 years old are free, and strollers and dogs are welcome. Race registration is now available and costs $40 for the first 150 tickets (FONA members, email us to receive your 20% discount code).
