Happy Easter and Passover 🌷
So why am I wearing rabbit ears and a rabbit nose?
Well, I am wearing them to celebrate spring and celebrate the return to a normal life. I am celebrating that the 2-year Covid hibernation is over. I am celebrating that the Canadian Institute of Food Science & Technology will have live and in-person events this year. I am celebrating that the CIFST is growing and innovating. I am celebrating that I will see my industry peers at CIFST events. I am celebrating that I will be able to see my customer and put a real face to their voice and the video image of them. I guess I am celebrating everything that was taken away from us and now is returning.
I am celebrating life and everything about it. And this year we will have a lot of things to see and do with the CIFST events calendar.
Our first in-person event in a very long time is the CIFST Quebec Section Supplier’s Night tabletop on May 12th in St-Hyacinthe.
I look forward to meeting you in person at the Canadian Food Summit to be held June 1 to 3, 2022 at the University of Guelph. Our Conference Committee is working very hard to bring you an amazing program. See our full list of speakers here. Registration is now open and you will enjoy Early Bird savings if you register by (tomorrow) April 15th.
Book your booths! Don't miss out, there are a limited number of tabletops at the Canadian Food Summit. Table Top Exhibit Registration includes one six-foot table and two chairs. BONUS: also includes a one full day registration for Thursday, June 2, 2022. Register here.
And finally, as part of the conference activities, CIFST is hosting TWO student events for graduate and undergraduate students. The 3MT® competition will be held on Wednesday, June 1st and the Marvin Tung Student Case Competition on Friday, June 3rd. Reminder, the deadline to enter the Marvin Tung Student Case Competition is Friday, April 22nd at 5pm EST.
Thank you, as always, for being with us!
