The Town of Yucca Valley is pleased to announce that Essig Park, located at the Warren Vista and Desert Gold, will be undergoing some exciting improvements in June and July of this year, made possible by the Town’s Measure Y quality of life funding.
The Essig Park Improvement Project, including the Dog Park, consists of the following:
- Complete removal of the existing Dog Park turf and irrigation system
- Installation of new efficient irrigation systems to decrease water use
- Dog Park play features for the canine park users
- Installation of new turf and selected trees
- Concrete sidewalk and walkway installations
- Installation of two shade structures with seating
- Low level evening solar lighting
Park improvements are slated to begin on June 20, 2023, and are scheduled for completion by September 2023. The Dog Park will be closed during this time to complete the Project and allow for the new turf to be established prior to use. As with all Town construction projects, this schedule is subject to modification pending weather and typical delays due to supply chain timing and material availability.
